Saigon, theatre dancers, 1900s
This is the first time that I’ve seen children dressed in Asian opera outfits. Original blogger indicated that these were theatre dancers? Hmm.. like a traveling or local theater group? I think this photo says a lot about something… just not sure how to decipher this. Looks like girls (even kids) were not allow to act back then; if it were so, the two kids in the front should have signs of feet binding.
